The Dream Academy was a British folk-rock trio formed in London in 1983, featuring Nick Laird-Clowes, Kate St John, and Gilbert Gabriel. They are best known for their 1985 hit single "Life in a Northern Town," (on this pressing) which reached the top ten globally and became an enduring atmospheric pop classic
