When you ask anyone over a certain age, 'whats your favourite Neil Young album?' then this album 'After the Goldrush', 'Harvest', 'On the Beach' are no doubt mentioned. There's lots of brilliant later work, but this album is a rare snapshot of life in California at the start of the 70's. Fantastic songs, and emerging confidence produce a very fine piece of work.
