Dingo is a 1991 Rolf de Heer musical drama starring Colin Friels and jazz icon Miles Davis. It follows John "Dingo" Anderson, an outback Australian dog-tracker, who travels to Paris to play trumpet with his musical idol, Billy Cross, after a life-changing encounter on a remote airstrip

The Dingo soundtrack is a poignant jazz collaboration featuring Miles Davis and Michel Legrand.
Released in 1991, it served as Davis's final completed album and accompanied his only major acting role as Billy Cross. The lush, hard-bop and orchestral tracks won them an AFI Award.
