'The Healer' was released in 1989 and was an immediate hit. Working with some great names (Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Canned Heat, Los Lobos, George Thorogood, etc...) it hit the spot with great playing, great songwriting and a great recording. He released a string of brilliant albums before his death in 2001, after this.
