 A year after 'Speak & Spell' Depeche Mode was on the fast track to fame. They were one of the great synth-pop forces in UK music of the time. 

Interesting fact on the band line-up. By this stage Vince Clarke has left the band to join Alison Moyet and form 'Yazoo'. Alan Wilder then joined DM but he was not on this album. He subsequently joined the tour.
