Released on August 28, 2026, So Much for Goodbyes is the fifth studio album by bluegrass virtuoso Billy Strings.  
Co-produced by Strings and T Bone Burnett, the 16-track record is a deeply vulnerable exploration of grief. It honors his late mother, Debra Apostol, who passed away in 2025. 
Moving away from heavy psychedelic jams, the album returns to raw, traditional acoustic roots. It features gorgeous instrumentation and closes with the touching instrumental elegy, "Debra's Waltz".
