Carly Simon
No Secrets
1972
Elektra #K-42127. Made in UK
1x LP Record
One of the most beautiful singers of the 70's, with plenty of talent to match. Carly was from a wealthy family and could of just been rich, but had a huge desire to become an artist.
Some good early work but this album established her as a serious force in the music industry. The most famous song on this album was no doubt 'You're So Vain' but some other gems including 'We have no secrets', 'The right thing to do'
Top musicians, Carly's amazing voice and lush rich production set this album apart from many other releases. Overlooked today but a true treat from the early 70's, and the new Mofi releases has put the focus back on this great album.
Suggest this album as a 'Test LP choice' (Look up the controversy over the Blue sweater. Photographed in Notting Hill apparently)
Condition
Immaculate album and a lesson in how good recordings could be in the 70's. Songs are not as compressed than on Greatest Hits and they can breath. Amazing voice, and great musicianship. Detailed, and sounding superb. Tight Bass.
Sleeve very nice.
