The Cranberries
The Cranberries were an Irish rock band formed in Limerick in 1989, fronted by vocalist Dolores O’Riordan. They became internationally known for their blend of alternative rock, post-punk influences, and distinctive vocal style. Their breakthrough album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? featured early hits like Linger. Later releases such as No Need to Argue included the globally recognized song Zombie. Their music often addressed themes of love, politics, and conflict. The band achieved major success in the 1990s and left a lasting legacy in alternative rock before and after O’Riordan’s passing in 2018.
