1x Vinyl LP, Record Store Day 2026. Limited Edition (White?)
Mark Lanegan’s Bubblegum (Original Draft) was one of the more talked-about Record Store Day 2026 releases. It’s a limited white-vinyl 2LP presenting Lanegan’s originally intended sequencing for Bubblegum, drawing from the 2004 sessions plus material later scattered across Bubblegum XX and Here Comes That Weird Chill. Collaborators include PJ Harvey, Josh Homme, Greg Dulli and Duff McKagan.
The release was mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road, limited to around 1,500 copies, and profits reportedly go toward the Mark Lanegan Foundation.
Fans on Reddit seem split between seeing it as a fascinating alternate vision of the album and simply a reshuffled companion to the 2024 Bubblegum XX edition. A lot of listeners praised the darker flow and inclusion of tracks like “Josephine,” “Mirrored,” and “Blood (Crackers & Honey).”
