Miles Davis

Miles Davis was one of the most influential figures in modern jazz, constantly reshaping his sound across several decades. Beginning in bebop, he later helped pioneer cool jazz, modal jazz and jazz fusion through restless experimentation and fearless collaborations. His trumpet playing was economical, lyrical and emotionally charged, often valuing space as much as notes. Albums such as Kind of Blue, Bitches Brew and In a Silent Way changed the direction of jazz and influenced rock, funk and electronic music for generations afterward.
